I lead a simple life!!
Liverpool, England is where I was born and raised, and my studies to Grade 12 were at the Convent of Mercy High School, Broughton Hall, West Derby. This was (and still is) a very well-respected institute of learning, where the Sisters of Mercy tried to keep us in line!! I loved school, and my memories are vivid and thought of very fondly!

During the last year of school, I trained in Pitman Shorthand, Typing and various Commercial courses, and while I enjoyed these studies, not for a moment did I think they would leave such an indelible mark on my life!! They led me to my initial employment as a junior shorthand typist, and eventually my career extended to major secretarial and administrative assistant roles.

I have held secretarial and administrative posts for a number of prestigious employers in Toronto and Vancouver. In the late ‘70s to ‘80s, I worked as an Executive Secretary with The Bank of Nova Scotia at its Regional Office in Vancouver. Those were the days—just before the advent of the word processor, which would eventually be brought into the Bank.
Due to illness I left the secretarial mode and for three years worked in direct sales as a Mary Kay beauty consultant.

Following this, the opportunity came for me to revert to my secretarial way of life, which led me to begin my own business. In September 1986 the City of New Westminster issued the first Business Licence to Omega Secretarial Services, a home-based business that has developed over the years.
One of my clients took this picture some years ago – the computer monitor and keyboard have changed … as you can see, l enjoy my work!!!
My little dog LADY is a great companion and loves visitors. You are assured of a wonderful welcome when she sees you!

Since 1999 I have been a member of Tillicum Toastmasters in a variety of executive roles. In June, 2005. I concluded a two-year term as Division J Governor, and in 2006 accepted the role of Chair of the Fall Conference, 2006, which was held at the beautiful Hilton Hotel in Metrotown. On October 15, 2007, I achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster Award (DTM), which is the highest level of achievement in Toastmasters. However, due to work and personal endeavours, I have taken a leave of absence from the club and may return when the spirit moves me!
Thanks so much for visiting and finding out something about me!
Hope we can meet and I can extend Omega’s services to you.
Best wishes,
